Glasgow Warriors & McCrea Financial Services extend their winning partnership

WARRIORS stars Johnnie Beattie and Duncan Weir this week celebrated the club's renewed sponsorship with local firm McCrea Financial Services by swapping a rugby ball for a football.

Beattie and Weir both of whom represented the Old Firm as youngsters entered into a 'skills school' challenge with two of the Scotland's most talented footballers - internationalists Emma Fernon and Jane Ross from Glasgow City Ladies.

And while they proved to be just as comfortable with a round ball as the oval version, the Warriors duo were still outshone by the talented City duo.

Both clubs were announcing partnerships with McCrea, who are now in their third year of an association with the Warriors. The distinguished McCrea Financial Services logo first adorned the sleeve of the famous Glasgow jersey in 2008/09 and has become an intrinsic part of the strip.

On the new agreement with McCrea Financial Services, Glasgow Warriors Chief Executive, Kenny Baillie, said: "I'm delighted that McCrea Financial Services has renewed its sponsorship of Glasgow Warriors.

"They have been great supporters of Glasgow Warriors, and of sport in Glasgow, for many years now and this renewal underlines the benefits that sponsoring Glasgow Warriors can bring to commercial partners.

"This announcement is fantastic news for Glasgow Warriors and McCrea Financial Services' continued support will play a key role in the future success of the Warriors."

Douglas McCrea, Managing Director of McCrea Financial Services, added: "We are delighted to continue our sponsorship of the Warriors which gives our clients access to international-class rugby.

"The win over the Ospreys highlights the standards Glasgow have reached and we look forward to continuing our support both on and off the field."
