Oui or non, it's a case of je nais pas for Big Al

Al Kellock

THE Glasgow future of Al Kellock remains a case of "Je ne sais pas" as speculation of Kellock's rumoured move to Perpignan intensified, writes Matthew Leslie. The lock forward's good form for both club and country has not gone unnoticed with the French aces rumoured to be preparing a swoop for the Scotland star.

Perpignan have benefited from a Scottish presence before with Nathan Hines and current Glasgow scrumhalf Chris Cusiter starring for them.

However, Kellock refused to confirm these rumours stating that he is hopeful of wearing a Glasgow shirt next season.

"Is that right?" he said with a neutral look. "That's just pure speculation at the moment. Nothing to say on that one.

"I'm currently in negotiations with Glasgow and I'm hopeful that something will be sorted out in the near future."

Kelly Brown and Dan Parks have alreadyagreed to join Saracens and Cardiff respectively but Glasgow'sre-signing of ace flanker John Barclay says Kellock is a sign of how strong team spirit is at theclub. He added: "Being top of the league helps in persuading the likesof John Barclay to stay on but there are big carrots from England andFrance being waved around."However, we have a great team spirit here and if you're happy, it will take a lot to persuade to leave such agood environment behind.

"There are those like Dan Parks and KellyBrown who fancy a new challenge and are leaving but it is brilliantthat John is staying."
