SCOTT HARRISON could take another step towards a return to the ring this week.
The British Boxing Board of Control are set to discuss whether the Glasgow fighter should regain his licence at a meeting in Cardiff.
Harrison’s father Peter believes the Scottish Area Council have recommended the 34-year-old be allowed to box again and said: “Scott is in limbo until we get confirmation he is getting his licence back.
“He wants to get back into the ring so it’s not right that anyone should stand in his way.
“People at the Scottish Area Council have been great and there has been plenty of backing from other figures in the sport so we are hopeful Scott will soon be fighting again.
“It has been a nightmare time but he is now focused on getting back to doing what he does best.”
