GLASGOW TIGERS problems mounted last night with the news they are facing up to six weeks without broken ankle victim Josh Grajczonek.
The Ashfield side's 19-year-old rising star was caught up in a horror crash that left another competitor paralysed riding for Australia in the Under-21 Team Championship in Germany on Monday.
And Tigers' co-promoter Alan Dick revealed that Grajczonek rode another race after the crash - only realising the extent of the damage when he took his boot off after the meeting.
He said: "This season we have suffered one disaster after another.
"I hope fans have sympathy with us as we've tried to build a team to challenge but fates have conspired against us.
"Speedway is a tough sport but you can't be successful and you just can't win when you suffer the injuries we've had.
"Now Josh has a spell on the sidelines and he can't earn any money."
