EX-ROCKS star Steve Parillon has become the latest addition to Sterling Davis' new-look squad after agreeing a deal to return to the KelvinHall.
An athletic and versatile player, Parillon, 31, who had a spell with the Rocks under Steve Swanson five years ago, will addstrength to the front and back court.
His arrival comes hot on the heels of Lithuanian centre Paulius Packevicius who agreed a deal with the Rocks earlier this week.
Parillon arrives back in Glasgow after a year in Puerto Rico with Criollos de Caguas and Brujos de Guayama.
Withthe ability to guard multiple positions defensively, the 6ft 5inforward is famed for putting up big numbers offensively, having led a first place Sheffield Sharks in scoring before his departure from the BBL side in Nov '07.
Player/coach Sterling Davis is confident he has made a solid signing in Parillon. He said: "We are excited to bring in some experience from the league in Steve.
"He has played in this country on multiple occasions so he knows what to expectand what it takes night in, night out to get it done."
Davis believes Parillon's presence and experience will be influential on a squad with some young new recruits.
He added: "With the young and unfamiliar faces we are bringing in this season, we can definitely use a guy like Steve to give these guys someawareness of what to expect moving forward."
The first chance to see Parillon and his new team mates on court will be on Monday,September 21, at the official pre-season launch of the Glasgow Rocks at7pm in the Kelvin Hall.
The Rocks tip-off the new season later that week on Sunday, September 27, with the visit of BBL rivals Newcastle Eagles.
