Sam Zajac: Signing new deal with Braehead Clan was an easy decision

BRAEHEAD CLAN have bagged a major boost by signing up Sam Zajac for another season.

The Glasgow-based side snapped up Zajac last summer after he produced a string of impressive performances for Newcastle Vipers.

He enjoyed a solid season at the Clan last term and they were quick to secure his services for another season.

The 22-year-old defenceman insists he relished his first season at Braehead and revealed he can’t wait to be back in the Clan colours.

He said: “I really enjoyed my season at the Clan.

“It’s a great organisation with a great fanbase in a great city so it was an easy decision when the offer was put to me to return for another season.

“I’m happy to have signed up at this point as it means I can really enjoy my summer, work on my fitness and look forward to being back at Braehead for my second season.”

Zajac’s signing comes hot on the heels of the Clan agreeing new deals for fellow Brits Matt Haywood and Adam Walker for the upcoming campaign.

Haywood and Adam penned new contracts at Braehead two weeks ago.
