Good news for Braehead Clan as experienced coach signs on for new season

Braehead Clan

BRAEHEAD CLAN have been boosted by the news assistant coach Frank Morris will be back at the club next season.

The Glasgow ice-hockey side were stunned by the departure of boss Drew Bannister last week after he took a job back in his native Canada.

But Morris, who is originally from Ontario and has seen service with Ayr Bruins, Murrayfield Racers and Fife Flyers, is delighted to commit his future to the club.

He said: “I am really happy to have signed with the Clan for a third season.

“I have enjoyed my time with the Clan and I know the team will be looking to improve on the last two seasons and challenge for some silverware.”

Morris has lived in the UK for over 20 years and the Clan believe his decision to stay with the club should ensure positive continuity of the backroom staff.

A Clan spokesperson said: “We are happy that Frank has re-signed with the Clan.

“Frank has worked well with the coaches and players over the last two seasons, and he will do his best to ensure that we have a team that is both skilled and eager to win.”
