QUEEN'S PARK celebrated a double success this week after landing both manager and player monthly awards at the Irn-Bru voting lunch for February.
The Spiders' remarkable turnaround of late has been rewarded with Gardner Speirs and defender Andy Millen, 45, both being recognised for their achievements.
Ten wins and a draw from their last 11 matches has lifted the Spiders to third - just six points off top spot - as the season nears the home straight.
But Speirs insists the awards are all about the collective efforts of the Second Division side who aim to build on a run of form which has transformed their season.
He said: "It's another accolade for the club and it's extremely pleasing when you are recognised.
"We are delighted with the way things have been going recently.
"The way the players have played recently is a credit to themselves and to the club.
"We have a squad full of guys who are playing extremely well just now.
"The important thing is to continue building on the hard work we have put in recently.
"Confidence is a huge thing in this game and we are developing that week by week.
"It's great to see the momentum being built up but we haven't done anything yet.
"We have given ourselves a platform and hopefully in the coming weeks we will continue they way we have been going."
