CONCERNS are growing for an vulnerable 72 year-old who has gone missing.
Campbell Coole was last seen around 2pm on Tuesday when he attended a doctor's appointment with his daughter.
His daughter become concerned about him the following day when she couldn't contact him and reported him missing in the early hours of this morning.
Mr Coole is described as around six foot tall with a slim build, short grey hair, goatee beard and wearing glasses.
When he was last seen he was wearing dark blue trousers and a short sleeve shirt or polo shirt.
Officers believe Mr Coole may be in his car, which is a Silver Vauxhall Corsa, registration number SH09 XGR.
The car was picked up on an APRN camera on the A90, Fife travelling Northbound at 4.40pm on Wednesday.
All efforts to trace Mr Coole have so far been unsuccessful.
Mr Coole has never been missing before and his family and officers are becoming increasingly worried for his safety.
Inspector Gillian Docherty from West End Police Office said: "We are making extensive inquiries to trace Mr Coole and I would ask anyone who has seen someone matching this description to get in touch as soon as possible as his family is now becoming increasingly worried about him.
"We are not sure why he would be travelling north on the A9 and would also ask if anyone has seen his silver Corsa to get in touch.
