Man, 37, dies after late night altercation in Pollok

A 37-YEAR-OLD man has died and another is in hospital after an "altercation" outside a block of flats in Pollok.

Emergency services were called to the incident in Cornalee Place at about 10.50pm on Thursday.

A Strathclyde Police spokesman said: "A 37-year-old man was injured following an altercation outside the common close at Cornalee Place.

"He was taken by ambulance to the Southern General Hospital, where he died a short time later.

"A 40-year-old man was also taken to hospital, where he is currently detained with a head injury."

The spokesman added that officers investigating the incident are following a "positive line of inquiry".
