Diwali
DIWALI At The Square was a highlight for Glaswegians again this year.
More than 3000 attended Sunday's event in George Square celebrating the Hindu and Sikh festival of lights.
For the second year in a row, the Hindu Temple of Scotland opened proceedings with a pooja, or prayer.
Entertainment came from indian dancers Punjabi No.1 and Abhinaya.
A massive draw was the Indian Zumba dance workshop - a class showing an eastern twist on the worldwide dance-exercise phenomenon.
Diwali At The Square aimed to celebrate the festival and promote multi-culturalism in Glasgow.
Amit Arora, of organisers Oceanic Consulting, said it had been a big hit.
She added: "We couldn't have hoped for a better Diwali At The Square this year.
"The weather prevailed and all of the activities went down extremely well with everyone who visited.
"The Zumba dance class in particular proved to be an instant hit with the public.
"With record numbers in attendance on Sunday, we can only hope to build on this for next year's event."
