Lord Provost set to make babies first Christmas special

HUNDREDS of babies celebrating their first Christmas are being invited to sign up for a keepsake to mark the occasion.

Proud mums and dads can register their child for the council's annual Baby's First Christmas event, this year held at the Banqueting Hall at the City Chambers on December 12.

Lord Provost Bob Winter will welcome the first 250 infants to register and they will be presented with a certificate and a silver-coloured Christmas tree trinket as a keepsake to mark their first festive season.

A total of 1000 babies are able to register. Those not invited to the Banqueting Hall will be asked to visit the St Enoch Centre, where they will receive a goody bag as well as the certificate and the tree memento.

Registration is opens now and city parents can call 287 5064 to register their infant's details. To find out more visit:www.glasgow.gov.uk/parks.
