SCOTLAND''s biggest freshers event starts today.

Now in its third year, the Scotcampus Freshers' Festival will be held in the heart of the city today and tomorrow.

More than 12,000 students will visit the festival, based in George Square.

The free event is perfect for those just starting college or university and will include various stalls offering new students tons of information.

Around 80 big names have signed up for the festival's main arena, including lifestyle brands such as Urban Outfitters, Dominos, YO! Sushi, Blackberry and Matalan.
