Police hunt rape beast following west end attack
A SEX attacker who carried out a "horrifying" rape on a teenage girl in Glasgow's west end was being hunted yesterday.
The 17-year-old was grabbed from behind as she walked along Bank Street in the early hours of yesterday.
She was forced into a doorway and put through a sickening ordeal.
The girl is said to have been "very traumatised".
The attacker was described as tanned,possibly European, and in his mid 30s, with shaved dark hair. He didnot speak with a local accent.
Police say he ran off in the direction of Great Western Road.
A police spokesman said: "This was a horrifying attack on a local young woman."
