Richmond Model Boat Club holding end of season charity show

THE Richmond Model Boat Club are putting on their End of Season Charity Show next month.

It will be held at the newly-renovated Richmond Park Pavilion on Sunday, September 2 from noon onwards.

Modellers from all across the UK are invited to attend, and members of the public are welcome.

All profits for the day will go to a local charity.

Eddie Haig, veteran member of the Richmond Model Boat Club, said: “We’re hoping hundreds of people turn out next month to enjoy the show and help us raise lots of money for local charities.

“Last year, despite us getting the tail end of Hurricane Katrina, we had a fantastic attendancet which let us raise hundreds of pounds for Hampden School and the Oatlands Community Resource Centre.”
