Antonio Carluccio gets on his bike for charity Action Against Hunger

CELEBRITY chef Antonio Carluccio waved off workers from his restaurant chain at the start of a 500-mile charity cycle ride on Friday.

Carluccio’s CEO Simon Kossoff and six members of his team embarked on the mammoth journey from Glasgow to London to raise money for Action Against Hunger – a humanitarian charity committed to ending child hunger in some of the world’s poorest countries.

The restaurant chain have also agreed to donate £1 from each main course sold on Friday night to Action Against Hunger.

The Carluccio’s team will cycle from Glasgow to London via Leeds, Leicester, Nottingham, Milton Keynes and St Albans.
