CELTIC legend John Hartson is heading to Glasgow on Thursday for a dinner date with fans.
The ex-Parkhead striker is appearing at an exclusive event in city centre restaurant Arisaig where he will talk about his turbulent life on and off the pitch in a no-holds-barred interview.
Hartson, who fought back from the brink of death when he was struck down by testicular cancer which spread to his brain, won three SPL titles in six years with Celtic.
And footie fans will have the chance to put him on the spot in a question and answer session at Thursday's event.
The former Welsh international, who was diagnosed with cancer in July 2009, said: "A lot of people know about my football life, but this is the chance for people to know about the real me.
"I'm really looking forward to meeting everyone as this is a chance to give something back to all the people whose messages of support helped me get through the darkest days of my illness."
The John Hartson Foundation (www.johnhartsonfoundation.com) - set up to raise awareness of men’s health issues - will benefit from the evening's fundraising which will include the chance to win a one-off portrait of the player, which will be signed with a personal message.
Just 50 places are available for the event. To book go to www.arisaigrestaurant.co.uk or call 0141 553 1010.
