Get on your bike for Skyride

CITY cycle riders are being invited to join Skyride - the city's first mass participation cycling event.

Local led rides take place across Glasgow every Sunday throughout the summer to encourage people to get back on their bikes ahead of the main Skyride Glasgow event on August 23.

That date is set to be Scotland's largest mass participation cycling event, where thousands of riders can safely cycle into the city on traffic-free streets.

This week's cycle heads along the River Clyde taking in the Forth and Clyde Canal. Next week enjoy riding around the city's west end taking in parks, canals and museums or if you are in the south side join the cycle through Bellahouston Park.
