GLASGOW CITY lifted the first silverware of the season after beating Spartans 5-1 to be crowned Scottish Women’s Premier League Cup Winners.
Goals from Jane Ross, Emma Mitchell, Danica Dalziel and a brace from Leanne Ross put City in the driving seat, with Lana Clelland pulling a consolation back for the Edinburgh side.
City head coach Eddie Wolecki Black was delighted to seal a trophy that has been out of his reach for several seasons.
He said: “I’m really happy for the players and everyone involved at the club, everyone has played their part in this victory.
“To play in a final and have a performance like that was pleasing, especially in the first half when we were incredible. It has been a few years since we’ve got our hands on this trophy and it’s a nice one to have back.”
