Tony Quinn
FORMER Queen's Park manager Billy Stark has praised Spiders captain Tony Quinn for his generous pledge to charity in his 10th year at Hampden.
Midfielder Quinn will donate all proceeds from next weekend's dinner in his name at Hampden to Marie Curie Cancer Research.
And it's a gesture which doesn't surprise Scotland Under 21 boss Stark, who spent four years as boss of Queen's before moving into the SFA position in 2008.
Stark said: "That just sums the guy up. Tony has not taken anything from football financially but has given a lot back."
Quinn is likely to start on the bench again when Queen's visit table-topping Alloa tomorrow, fresh from Tuesday's 3-0 Hampden win over Clyde.
With nine points separating the sides, the Spiders know that three points are a must if they are to have any chance of sneaking the title from Paul Hartley's side.
