Queen's Park look to extend Ricky Little stay

Ricky Little

QUEEN'S PARK hope to secure Ricky Little's services until the end of the season after the on-loan Partick Thistle defender was told he could leave the Jags.

Little is heading out of Firhill after failing to break into the first team under Ian McCall.

The 20-year-old full back is currently on loan at Queen's - his second spell at Hampden - and has impressed manager Gardner Speirs.

The Spiders boss hopes he can persuade the player - whose loan expires on January 16 - to stay for the rest of the season.

One player who won't be returning to Queen's Park is St Mirren striker Paul Quinn whose loan deal ended this week after three months - the maximum permitted for an emergency loan.

Quinn netted twice in nine starts for Queen's.

Speirs said: "We are grateful to St Mirren for allowing us to have Paul on the emergency loan as he did very well here."
