QUEEN'S PARK have snapped-up Stirling Albion midfielder Chris Hamilton as Gardner Speirs prepares his side for life in the Third Division.
Hamilton, 21, is Speirs' first acquisition of the summer although he has re-signed the majority of last season's squad.
The former Dumbarton player, who also spent time playing in the US, made 21 appearances for the Binos last year and scored four goals - the last of which came against Queen's on the final day of the season.
Speirs told the Glaswegian: "We have 17 signed players at the moment which is not too bad a position to be in.
"But we are still on the lookout for new players, we need a goalkeeper as we only have Zander Cowie at the moment.
"As always though I am looking for players who can improve our squad in any position."
Keeper David Crawford heads the list of players who have departed Queen's since the end of the season along with John Neill, Stevie Nicholas, Anthony McGrogan, Andy Boslem, David Waters, Raymond Montgomerie and Damiano Agostini.
Paul Cairney has also returned to Partick Thistle following the end of his season-long loan deal.
But experienced players including captain Richard Sinclair, Tony Quinn and Stevie Reilly are all committed for another season along with player of the year Barry Douglas and fellow youngsters Ryan Holms and Jamie Brough.
Meanwhile Queen's have lined-up a series of pre-season fixtures against Partick Thistle, St Johnstone, Hamilton, Fleetwood Town and Arbroath.
The annual trip to Germany has been ditched and replaced with weekends in Largs and St Andrew's.
