THISTLE newboy Martin Grehan thrust himself into manager Ian McCall's sights with a double in a midweek friendly victory over SPL Hibs.
The Jags won the match 3-2 with Grehan, signed last month from Stirling Albion, finding the net twice.
It's unlikely to win him a starting berth against Ross County on Saturday as McCall is expected to go with Liam Buchanan and Simon Donnelly leading the frontline.
However it will have done no harm to Grehan's chances of featuring at some point in the near future with the imposing striker offering more of a physical threat to the Firhill attack.
Midfielder Stephen McKeown also came through the 90 minutes against Hibs unscathed and could be in line for a start against second-placed County.
Elsewhere the Jags are at full strength with David Rowson returning to the side following his one-match suspension after a double yellow card against Airdrie United.
McCall said: "I just want us to win this one game, never mind the remaining 12, and see where that takes us."
