PARTICK THISTLE will open their league campaign at home to Steven Pressley's Falkirk before heading to relegated Dunfermline on the second weekend of the first division campaign.
The Scottish Football League released their fixture list on Monday and Jackie McNamara's Jags were handed a tough opening fortnight.
Pressley's Bairns will visit Firhill on Saturday, August 11, a fortnight after Thistle open their season with a trip to Clyde in the Ramsdens Cup.
The Jags will spend the bulk of the festive period at home with two fixtures at Firhill on Boxing Day and January 2 - against Morton and Hamilton respectively with a trip to Dundee sndwiched in between on Saturday, December 29.
Their final match of the league season - on May 4 - is away to Dumbarton.
