Must See Movies: A Perfect Getaway (15) ***, The Time Traveler's Wife (12A) ***

A PERFECT GETAWAY (15) ***

Why we are excited: Two newly-weds realise that a vow to love one another 'till death us do part' might be a lot sooner than they thought in writer-director David Twohy's serpentine, suspense thriller.

Plot: Struggling Hollywood screenwriter Cliff (Steve Zahn) and his wife Cydney (Milla Jovovich) arrive on Hawaii for their honeymoon. The tropical idyll is rocked by news of brutal murders and the police hunt for a man and a woman, believed to have perpetrated the heinous crimes. As Cliff and Cydney venture deeper into the jungle, paranoia and fear gradually take hold.

The Time Traveler's Wife (12A) ***

Why we are excited: Screenwriter Bruce Joel Rubin seems like the perfect fit for director Robert Schwentke's eagerly-anticipated big-screen adaptation of the bestseller by Audrey Niffenegger.

Plot: Librarian Henry (Eric Bana) suffers from a rare genetic disorder, which causes him to travel through time without warning. He has no control over when he will leap or how long he will spend in the current timeframe, living from one second to the next. He meets and falls in love with Clare (Rachel McAdams), who feels certain that they are destined to spend the rest of their lives together, even though Henry can disappear in the blink of an eye, reappearing months, if not years, later.
