A FINAL allocation of tickets for Wet Wet Wet's Glasgow Green gig have gone sale.

July's concert marks the supegroup's 25th anniversary and the first time the Scots band have performed together for five years.

And demand for tickets has been so high the organisers have added 2000 tickets to the capacity.

Wet Wet Wet front man Marti Pellow said: “We are completely bowled over by the response to this home town show and we’ve been working with the organisers to have the capacity increased so even more of our fans have the opportunity to come along.”

The Friday, July 20 date will raise fond memories for the group, who originally played Glasgow Green in 1989.

They have sold more than 15 million singles and albums to date, featuring in the UK official singles and album charts for a 508 weeks.

Their 27 official UK hit singles include three number 1’s including ‘Love is All Around’, which spent 15 weeks at top position, selling over 1.75 million copies. This is the longest spell at No.1 for any UK artist, a record that still stands.

Drummer Tommy Cunningham said: “Fans are travelling from all over the world to see us play our greatest hits and we’re making plans to make sure this is one of the most spectacular events they’ll ever attend.”
