The Risk set for Glasgow appearance as Royal Concert Hall hosts Young Variety Show

THIS year’s Young Variety show will have that special X Factor – thanks to TV pop band The Risk.

The finalists of the ITV show will perform at the Royal Concert Hall on Sunday along with the best of Scotland’s rising youth talent.

It will be a special homecoming show for Scots bandmember Andrew Merry, who was originally scheduled to perform at the gig in 2007.

The boyband have built up a growing and loyal fanbase after appearing on The X Factor.

And Variety Club of Scotland bosses, who have set up the Glasgow show, were keen to get them on board.

Tickets, costing £12 to £15, are available by calling 353 8000.

The concert will raise funds for Variety The Children’s Charity to help sick, disabled and disadvantaged kids throughout Scotland.
