GLASGOW Music have invited Scottish Ensemble director Jonathan Morton to programme a series of musical events this weekend.
This Friday there will be a night of minimalism, with Icebreaker and the Scottish Ensemble giving three performances at the Old Fruitmarket , the first of which will be one of Glass’s best selling albums Glassworks. Tickets cost £15.
On Saturday afternoon at the CCA, the Scottish Ensemble will hold a rehearsal slot.
The finished product can be experienced on Saturday evening at St Andrew’s in the Square. Also on Saturday night supergroup Taraf De Häidouks, will perform at the old Fruitmarket. Tickets cost £15
On Sunday Sir John Tavener’s Towards Silence will be performed at Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum. Tickets cost £15. Call 353 8000 to book tickets.
