TRAVIS star Fran Healy will play his first Scots solo gig in Glasgow this month.
The Glaswegian frontman will perform an intimate gig at Oran Mor in the west end on Wednesday, September 15.
He will play London Bush Hall the following night.
Both gigs coincide with the release of Healy's debut solo album Wreckorder on October 4. Following a career littered with awards, No1 albums and a host of sold-out shows, the singer/songwriter is nervous about his new sound and excited about going it alone.
He said: "My biggest concern was that it would sound too much like Travis. What would be the point in going solo only to make a record that sounded like Travis? Luckily it doesn't."
Healy spent the summer touring North America supporting Keane.
Tickets for the show cost s17.50. Visit gigsandtours. com, gigsinscotland.com or ticketmaster.co.uk. Or call 0844 499 9990.
