GLASGOW’S premiere choir is set to serenade the O2 ABC this week.

Singing group Musichoir is performing at the Sauchiehall Street venue, supported by top dance troupe The Kennedy Cupcakes on Friday.

Though they have only been in existence for two years the group has fast become a major player in the Glasgow music scene, with performances at the Royal Concert Halls and other prestigious venues under their belt.

The group perform a wide variety of genres, as choir member Kevin McGuire explains.

He said: “Musichoir is a chance for everyone involved to feel good,  and develop a sense of pride and achievement.

“With a modern and fun repertoire, this is no ordinary choir.

“MUSICHOIR fuses together Pop, Rock, Funk, Gospel, Soul, Jazz, RnB and Musical Theatre for an experience like no other.”

Supporting the choir is retro dance troupe The Kennedy Cupcakes.

Bringing together sparkiling choreography and the romance of the forties and fifties the group plan to bring a touch of traditional glamour to the stage.

Cupcake Julieann Crannie said: “We’re really looking forward to what is one of our biggest performances to date.

“If you’re a fan of excellent dancing and the glitz of the period this is a must see show.”

Tickets for the concert cost £12 and can be booked by visiting ABC’s website.
