Glasgow Film Festival 2012: What's hot and what's not

SINCE its inaugural year in 2005 the Glasgow Film Festival has grown to become one of the highlights of the cultural calendar.

This year’s programme concludes on Sunday after two weeks of showcasing a colourful variety of films in 16 venues throughout the city. In total the festival will play host to over 200 films and events.

The festival includes a tribute to the slick-toed, tap-dance hero Gene Kelly, a flurry of Scottish films and provides the platform for a series of annual ‘Fests within the Fest’.

Before the film feast comes to a close there is still time to experience the buzz with notable screenings of horror/sci-fi Tape 407, Argentinean thriller Penumbra, Chris Langham’s black comedy Black Pond and of course the lucky dip madness of the annual Secret Film - pray that it doesn’t feature Adam Sandler!
