Canadian singer K.D. Lang set for Clyde Auditorium gig

SINGER K.D. Lang is set to make her return to Glasgow next week with a performance at the Clyde Auditorium on Monday.

The Canadian singer-songwriter is renowned for her smooth but powerful voice, as well as campaigning for issues such as vegetarianism and gay rights causes.

After a quarter of a century as a major recording artist, Lang now brings songs from her 13th album, Sing It Loud, to Glasgow, where she has previously performed with the Celtic Connections festival and in solo gigs.

Her album Hymns of the 49th Parallel brought audiences her cover of fellow Canadian Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah, which she performed during last year's Winter Olympics opening ceremony.

Tickets to see four-time Grammy award-winner in Glasgow on June 6 are available from 0844 395 4000.
