Milton Jones
AWARD-WINNING comedian Milton Jones is making a welcome return to the city.
The stand-up star, who appears on BBC2's Mock The Week, will perform at the Glasgow Pavilion on Thursday, May 19.
He has already emerged as a favourite of city gag fans. Last March, his show at the Comedy Festival in the city sold out out very quickly.
On this tour, the wild-haired funnyman will be playing in bigger venues.
Milton has numerous TV and radio projects under his belt and he has bagged several awards and nominations.
The 46-year-old comic has starred in countless series for BBC Radio and his own Sony award-winning show, The Very World of Milton Jones, is on BBC Radio 4. He has also enjoyed three successful series and was awarded the prize for Time Out's Best Comedy performance in 2003.
Four episodes of Another Case of Milton Jones have just been commissioned and will be broadcast later this year.
Live tours have taken the comedian from Montreal (Just For Laughs Comedy Festival) to the Festival Fringe in Edinburgh, where he won the Perrier Best Newcomer Award in 1996, followed by a nomination for the Perrier Best Show the following year.
