Hogmanay
TICKETS are selling out quickly for this year's Hogmanay ceilidh at George Square.
The New Year will be heralded in by 5000 people dancing to top bands such as Capercaillie, Skerryvore, Salsa Celtica and The Black Rose Ceilidh Band.
And the midnight celebrations will see thousands of fireworks set off from the roof of the City Chambers. Lord Provost Bob Winter said: "George Square is always a special place at the bells."
Tickets went on sale on Saturday and people hoping to attend are being encouraged to order now to avoid disappointment.
Tickets cost £19 for adults and £9 for children with a family ticket - for two adults and two children - available for £50.
